Inability of using Talent for success:

success is often attributed to some talent.  Some people are born with a natural talents. Artistic talents are always proved to be hereditary.  Talent acquisition is one of the important unit in every organization for hiring the qualified and talented human resource.  Prioritizing talent acquisition is vital to every business people. Every Companies focus on talent acquisition.    Talent is something you naturally do, think, or feel.  It is nothing to do what you acquired in school or that was taught to you in your colleges.  Some people are born with greater potential. It is something special characteristics of your attitude, that derived through working experiences or success people around you. Most of people never find their natural talents and strengths either because they underestimate their strength or they do not believe they have any.  To be successful in life, one has to apply unique talents and ability.  Some business talents are found to be inherited or some acquired from other sources or from successful people.    

Lack of self-discipline.

We are not born with some habit and self-discipline.  self- discipline is the ability to control yourself, make yourself to work hard and  you choose to do what you know you should do, rather than what you want to do.  Discipline helps you making the right decisions in life can make or break you, and this type of person tends to make the right decisions at right time for success.   Without self-discipline your failure will be surely guaranteed.  Self-discipline is the only form of discipline.  A commitment to a success blueprint can be created with road map and time-stamp.  Self-discipline is more specifically about your ability to control your desires, in an attempt to stay focused successfully to achieve the goal.  To maintain discipline, it requires you to master your habits, behavior, will power. It is just like going to the gym, will power and self-discipline take a lot of work.  Fear of failure is also a reason for lack of self- discipline.

Inability of grabbing the opportunities.

Opportunity knocks our doors only once and that single moment never returns.  It depends upon our ability how fast we grab the opportunity, coming in our way.  We do not get the second chance for the same opportunities.  We need the ability to recognize the opportunity, as opportunities came in disguise in our life.  We either fail to recognize them or we fail to use them in time effectively.  Life is full of choices and opportunities.  It depends upon 10% how we get it and 90% how we make it.  Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice, it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.  The bigger the obstacle, the better can be the opportunity.  Sometimes, most of the people lose their interest in the work due to bigger obstacles coming in their way, leading to loos of achievable opportunity. Thus, successful people do not look for miracles.  They seek courage and strength to overcome obstacles.  We have often found difficulty lies the opportunity.  Its rewards are great, but it belongs to only those who care to have the faith, grabbing ability In themselves and who make the most of it, for success. Times may get tough, life may not be fair, people may not be honest, but never allow disappointments to corrupt you attitude of your internal behavior.   So, loser sees difficulties everywhere, while winner sees the opportunities every time and that is the difference between attitude of Ordinary and Extra-ordinary people, for success.

Fearfulness of loosing the task.

Fear results in insecurity and lack of confidence.  It destroys our potential and ability. To live in fear is to live in an emotional prison. Fear can be imaginary and artificial.  It comes from a lack of understanding.  Fear of failure is often worse than failure itself.  If you are fear of death, then you are dead today only.  We can't necessarily control our thoughts, but we can manage them.  It may be difficult to make out exactly why we are experiencing fear of failure.  Most of people have been conditioned themselves to believe that the key to success involves risks of failure. There are large number of risk factors associated with developing phobias of fear.  It may be more likely to develop if we you have past experiences where you’ve failed, or  you’ve learned to fear failing through different situations or  There’s also the possibility that watching someone else fail has contributed to your phobia. This situation is called “observational learning experience.” For example, if you grew up with a caregiver who was afraid of failing, it may make you more likely to feel the same.  You may even develop fear after reading or hearing about someone else’s experience.

Lack of interest in work we are doing :  Success in the work always depends upon degree of your enthusiasm in the work.  When your mind is pulling an emotional plug on any attachment for the work, then staying engaged to the work is difficult.  People who lack conviction take the middle of the road and guess what happens to those in the middle of the road.  They try to change on guesswork to assess a right path, without knowing that lack of conviction, it will never work.  Whether you are working in the office, or running business or studying in the school / colleges, your intrinsic enthusiasm  is must.  There are so many signs that indicates that you are loosing interest that it may be time for change in your attitude or external behavior. There are two kinds of people in the world:

a)    People who make things happen.

b)    People who watch things happen.

Which category of above do you fall into  ??

People who make things happen, are having a strong will power and confident enough for their success.  Passion is an interest that comes from within you.  It is your own enthusiasm, your own motivation that creates an intrinsic interest for the work.

Looking for shortcuts methods: 

The desire to make a million overnight has made the lottery, a gambling etc.,   We are living in an age of instant gratification. It makes them to choose shortcuts, for satisfying temptation of instant gratification.   The Problem with people today is that they want instant answers.  For high scoring in the exam, we got “Most likely questions” a guide book on questions answers.  For losing weight, we got many products in the market.  For instant meals & refreshment, we got a fast food.  Losers always looks for quick fixes.  There are a lot of ways to make a job easier, whether it is losing weight or learning new skills.  But there is a big difference between doing something more efficiently and avoiding labour altogether. Many a time we land in trouble due to such shortcuts technique. Most of a crackpot looks for a jackpot.

Greediness and selfishness :

For people want to be a successful businessman, the key motivation for success in business activities is to make more money and more profit.  Here is the place, where greed is taking birth.  These people are not knowing that greed is never satisfied.  Greed increases with the years are passed by.  Greed is about never being satisfied with what one has, always wants and expecting more.  It is a kind of hungriness, that one cannot satisfies easily.   If greed is not satisfying, then it becomes hurtful, destructive, leading to dissatisfaction and frustration.  The fact is that people have lost their lives and livelihoods because of greed.  Both greed and selfishness correspond closely with what we call it as Desire for success. Greed is a kind of selfishness, but selfishness is necessarily be nasty, risky, creating a negativity in our internal behavior.  The positive side about greed is that it motivates people to work harder, but if it crosses the limit, it become harmful and lossful.

In our personal life also, all decisions we make are based on some sorts of greed, knowing that without it there is no success.  We have such a divide between rich and poor, healthy and unhealthy, educated and uneducated in our society, it is all greed driven.   Greed is what drives big businesses to ensure their business is not challenged and it tries to keep little down.  So, prudent businessman keep his greediness and selfishness under control, for true success in his business life.

Lack of conviction :

The greatest happiness of life is the conviction that we are love.  Some determination, some devotion, some gumption, whatever we name it, to succeed in life, we must have a strong conviction that we will achieve your goal no matter what. It doesn’t matter, if your goal is business centric or family centric or career centric or health centric, by having the conviction to do something, every day that moves you forward.    It is rightly said by Mr.Roy T. Bennett that “Enthusiasm can help you find the new doors, but it takes passion to open them. If you have a strong purpose in life, you don't have to be pushed. Your passion will drive you there.”  Your passion to the goal itself is a conviction for success.  Conviction does not guarantee success. But a lack of it almost guarantees failure.  Conviction is linked to the structure that needs to be followed. It’s the success steps that are linked together over a series of trades that leads to long-term success. Taking the trade is the easy bit, having the conviction to follow the right approach when in the trade is a different story altogether.

Lack of study and knowledge :

Study success requires clear objectives, knowledge and full study. Running business without study and knowledge of business processes, ends with gross failure. Both study and knowledge co-relates to the education.  One can not acquire knowledge and study further without education.  As a student, you are imparted training, study skills and field knowledge by your schools and colleges.  These studies and knowledge assist you to be successful in handling the task after graduation.

In an organization, on joining a company you attend (KT) Knowledge Transfer activity through training.  (KT) Knowledge Transfer activity plays constructive role, through which you are trained and made a skilled worker of your roles and responsibilities to be carried out independently. It is an imperative task for all type of organization.  In absence of such KT and training, expecting an employee to carry out the given task is illogical.  Successful firms reward those employees who are involved in knowledge sharing activities.   A businessman sets up his firm, after acquiring full study and knowledge for success in his business processes.  It is just like driving a vehicle without driving license, for businessman running business without complete knowledge and thorough study about business.  The first step towards knowledge is awareness of area of ignorance.

Learning habit from past mistake :  

Making mistakes is inevitable in our life. Making mistakes is a normal part of our life.  Learning from mistake is a great way to learn and avoid doing the same thing again. A person who could not learn from past mistakes, and continue making the same mistake again and again, may make a big blunder.  People who do not learn lessons from history are doomed.  We learn from failure, if we have the right path.  Failure is a detour, not a dead end.  Ordinary people learn from their mistakes, while extra ordinary people learn from other people’s mistake.  Not Learning from past mistake is a bad habits.   A vulnerability of fearfulness is created in the mind of wise people who make mistake, resulting in poor performance, while wiser people are confident and believe in their skills and dig up some interesting insights.
